Flora Bowley Designs, Inc.

Collaborated with CEO, an entrepreneur with an art education and retail business, to design multiple online courses and products, develop brand strategy, lead marketing, and to meet business targets.

​​

  • Conducted UX research, instructional design, and product launches for four robust online courses, generating over $1 million in revenue.

​​

  • Led project management, international retreat and event coordination, and e-commerce sales, generating an average of $423,000 in revenue annually.

​​

  • Developed brand identity, web and graphic design, video production, content, and copy writing, growing online community to over 50,000 subscribers in six years.

​​

  • Directed teams of contractors, led employee training, worked with B2B partners and licensing agents, and managed customer relations and communities, building long-term relationships.

Brand Consultant.

The Hallowed Halls​

​

Developed a revitalized business plan, brand strategy, and mission statement to grow one of Portland’s premier recording studios, housed in a historic public library, under new ownership. 

​

  • Generated wedding and event rentals, growing clients and B2B relationships. Art-directed photo shoots for magazines and publicity, and increased profitability by bringing in high-value sales.

​​

  • Created a series of sold-out, live-recorded concerts, bringing new musicians and audiences into the studio together and growing word-of-mouth marketing.

​​

  • Prioritized DEI goals to offer greater access to audio recording to marginalized groups by offering a free day of studio time to BIPOC every month, and a plan to recruit diverse audio engineers, partners, and contractors.

Graphic Designer.

Created original designs and press-ready files for greeting cards, stationary, and signage, and managed e-commerce product listings. Developed catalogs, line sheets, press releases, and marketing materials for B2B trade shows, agents, and retail customers.​

  • Designed products, grew sales, and supported business expansion, growing from an online business to opening its first retail location.

EYEM Holistic Health Studio

Collaborated with CEO to implement long-term and short-term brand and marketing strategy for a rapidly growing acupuncture, massage, and retail business.

  • Developed a yoga studio from the ground up. Recruited and interviewed teachers, led employee hiring, managed renters, and promoted events, generating a substantial increase in company profits. Transformed an unused space from a liability into an asset.

  • Led digital marketing. Created original content, improved site’s SEO, composed newsletters and social media posts, conducted market research, and grew online presence.

Store Graphic Artist.

Whole Foods Market

 

Collaborated across teams, with corporate marketing leaders and store management, to develop effective and on-brand messaging and merchandising. Created digital layouts, posters, illustrations, and graphics for multiple store locations.​​

  • Designed an award-winning reusable shopping bag, featured in Whole Foods Market stores across the United States and Canada.

  • Developed digital graphics and custom-illustrated hand-lettered signs, murals, decor, and permanent artwork for new Greenway store opening.

Juxtapoz Magazine

Three-month internship mentored by Juxtapoz’s Illustration Editor to create blog posts for the digital branch of Juxtapoz Magazine.

 

  • Curated visual content, researched international contemporary artists, reviewed art shows, and composed articles featured on the www.juxtapoz.com blog.
