Role: Visual Designer, Strategist, Co-Facilitator
Problem: In response to the global Covid-19 pandemic lockdowns of 2020, millions of people were stuck at home, out of work, afraid, and unable to connect with their communities face-to-face.
Goal: To design an accessible way for people all over the world impacted by the Covid-19 pandemic crisis to stay connected to each other, and to their creativity.
Solution: Live-streamed weekly Zoom community art gatherings, running on a donation-based model.
Outcome: Through donations, nearly $5,000 was raised for the Portland Area Artist Emergency Relief Fund, the Native American Community Response Fund, Black Resilience Fund, Bumi Sehat, and the Black Visions Collective. Once the lockdown ended, the recordings of these art gatherings were sold individually and as a set.
